Gokul Nishanth Sivakumar is an accomplished Data Scientist with over 3 years of experience in the field. Prior to this, he worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at DePaul University College of Computing and Digital Media, where he developed a multi-label supervised model that can prognosticate age-related macular degeneration eye disease using image processing and deep learning. He also extracted significant image-level features from retinal OCT images through segmentation and feature engineering for machine and deep learning models. Gokul has a Master's degree in Data Science from DePaul University and a Master's degree in Software Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in various programming languages such as Python, Java, R, PL/SQL, Objective C, C++, and HTML. He is also well-versed in using SQL (Oracle SQL, Postgres, MySQL), NoSQL (Hive), Hadoop, Map-Reduce, PySpark, Pig, and various tools and frameworks such as Tableau, Jupyter, Visual Studio Code, PyCharm, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, OpenCV, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, NLTK, scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and ggplot2.
